Going to Snowboard Lake Tahoe in March!

Oh, it’s been a while (about 3 weeks) since I wrote an entry on this blog. Hmmm, I guess we were busy watching J the week of the surgery (January 9th) and after, trying to make the house weatherproof-weatherstripping windows and the garage, and adding heavy curtains etc., making sure J would recover in a nice and cozy environment. One of his chemo drug’s effect causes numbness in the hands and feet when exposed to coldness and that supposed to peak during this period.

He’s doing well at home, he’s still adjusting to the amount of food intake for each meal and trying to get around odd sleeping hours due to napping during the day. Yesterday was supposed to be the day that his liver completed its re-generation (3-week post op mark).

We just booked a trip to Lake Tahoe for snowboarding in March, pending confirmation. J’d better get in shape, he has lost 10 lbs since the surgery. He hasn’t been exercising like the physical therapist told him to….this trip should give him an incentive to get fitter, he’s got one and a half months to do so….
