getting second opinion
getting the second opinion from another doctor. i was having a talk with someone and the topic about cancer and getting a second opinion came up. i think a lot of patients are reluctant to get a second opinion. it is the patient’s right but at the same time we feel uncomfortable getting a second opinion coz it makes it sound like u dont trust ur current doctor. u dont want to offend anyone cuz he’s gonna be the one to treat and/or operate on you. but this is ur health and in term of cancer, it’s life and death. there’s gotta be a better way so that patients dont have to deal with these kinda issues. second opinion should be automatic somehow. just like the lady who was diagnoased with cancer in her nasal area. they were gonna operate on her but she strongly believed that she doesnt have it so she went to see another doctor who did a biopsy on her and didnt find any cancer cell. it turns out the lab got the report mixed up!
