I am a sailor!!

My brother and I passed the sailing class test today!! YEAHHH It was a piece of cake ;) haha We sort of got lucky because we finished the testing right before the weather turned bad around 7pm. I believe we were the only two people who finished the entire test. What happened is that the clouds moved in quick with some rain and lightning! The dock master blew the horn 3 times to call us in to the dock so a lot of people did not get to finish all the tests. We got to the dock and the wind picked up all of a sudden and some of the boats that still have their sails up started rocking violently! Couple of boats are pushed and raised up against each other. It was quite a sight and a very good experience because we see how weather can change and conditions can change in such a short amount of time. That’ll help us remember to watch the weather real closely whenever we plan to go sailing, it’s no joke. We helped took down the sails and then went into the boat house for sheltering. After the rain and wind died down, we then went back out to de-rig the rest of the boat. Our instructor Joe handed us the TASCA membership application and signed it as the sponsoring instructor. Lui is our sponsoring dock master. Thanks! :)

We are the class of spring 2008! Graduation party in September after the summer course is finished!

It’s been 6 days after the the chest medi-port removal procedure took place and it did not interfere with sailing testing. I was able to perform all normal sailing functions. There is no pain unless pressed upon at the old medi-port site.
