CT Scan

Got my CT Scan done today. The entire trip took around 4 hours but the actual scan took only less than 10 mins! If only they can invent some kind of home use device for self scanning, it’d be so convenient. As always, I drank a lot, I mean a lot of water after the scan to flush out the dye/contrast liquid ingested orally and through IV. They said 8 glasses within 24 hours but I think I must have drank like 16 glasses or more haha I had to go to the bathroom all day. Interesting, I remember every time after I had my scan and took the anti-allergic medicine Prednison, I couldn’t sleep the next night, but this time I had no problem sleeping. I wonder if the drug has less effect on me now or I use to get too excited after the scan either from thinking about the scan result or just business ideas. I can never be sure of it. haha

  1. Jason-

I am 42 years old and was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer in July of 2008. During the past year, I have had a successful colon and liver resection and just completed my 6 months of chemo treatments. I have been following your story for quite some time and find it truly inspirational. It is hard finding those successful Stage IV survivor stories and you provide hope to myself and others. Cheers to good health and squeaky clean scans! Keep on blogging.
